Oompa loompa doo pa dee doo! I've got another puzzle for you!

This was another great year for Halloween costumes. I've got to be honest with you and say that Bryan and I didn't know what we were going to be until the last minute. We actually started working on the costumes the week of the party(procrastination has always worked well for me).

At first Bryan was going to be an Oompa Loompa and I was going to be Mary Poppins, but we both changed our minds and I think it worked out for the best.

I had a rough time picking out my costume this year, and I must say that I was pretty convinced it was going to be a flop, but it actually turned out to be quite the opposite. I went with the Oompa Loompa from the 1970's Willy Wonka movie and I must say, I had almost every detail spot on. It was a hit!
The original Oompa Loompa:My interpretation:
Bryan flopped around ideas for months until I mentioned the idea of a toy soldier like those from Toy Story. He loved the idea, and the costume was a very easy and successful attempt.

The real deal:

The replication attempt:
Of course, there was one more costume in our house that not as many people were able to see. This one doesn't need a picture for comparison - only a few lines from a song:

"We were at the beach

Everybody had matching towels

Somebody went under a dock

And there they saw a rock

It wasn't a rock

It was a rock lobster!"

She wouldn't keep the hood with the googly eyes on... actually she tried to eat the whole costume. She was adorable, nonetheless!
